The Easy Trip by Bill Knaggs. This is a fascinating, first hand account of how Bill Knaggs' aircraft, a 106 Squadron Lancaster (Serial Number LL975) was shot down on an "easy trip" to France in June 1944. Five of the crew were killed but Bill Knaggs survived along with the Flight Engineer. They both bailed out but the Flight Engineer was immediately captured. Bill however, managed to escape and continued to evade German troops for several months. This is his personal account of that time and it provides an amazing insight in to the experience of being on the run in enemy territory during the closing months of the war. A moving and highly personal story and a great read for any WW2 aviation enthusiast. Please note shipping is to UK only.
