This is the story of 106 Squadron's Clement Crew, who flew with the squadron in 1944. They were shot down on their 27th mission in July 1944. In addition to covering their operational experiences, this book looks at their background, their pre-RAF lives and how they came together to create an effective and disciplined fighting force. It is a fascinating insight in to how bomber crews were put together with crew members from all walks of life, the challenges they faced, the bravery they showed and ultimately the sacrifices they made. A great read and a bit different to most books about RAF Bomber Command. A charming memoir.
