The Elite 106 Squadron's Definitive History
5 product stars

From the moment the first page was turned the words that followed depicted life at RAF Metheringham from the requisition days, through the awful nights of WW2 aircrew to the post war dismantling of a proud, famous 106 Squadron back in to civvy street. The words brought this temporary Airfield to vivid life, taking the reader along o every night flight in to enemy territory. Humour through adversity shines a bright light throughout this glorious book and has set the ambition to go along to the Metheringham Airfield Visitor Centre to see the stories brought to life throughout the wonderful museum which keeps memories alive. This book is a must have addition for anyone's bookshelf.
